"A Sense of Sacrament" is a discussion document to assist the pastoral work of parish and diocesan personnel who are involved in Catholic sacramental formation.

The document arises from my five years experience (2004-2009) as a pastoral associate in a parish in the Catholic Diocese of Broken Bay. It includes links to some 50 supplementary resources used in our pastoral setting.

In 2010 I was invited to present a workshop at the gathering of the Federation of Catholic Bishops Conferences in Oceania on the topic of 'Sacraments: Ideas for Pastoral Application.' This document provided a basis for that workshop.
